Hardware/Firmware Design Engineer

Alto Professional is seeking an experienced hardware/firmware engineer to design hardware systems (schematic and layout) who has a passion for audio equipment.

 

Experience and Education Required:

 

The candidate for this position should have 5 to 10 years experience with hardware system design, schematic design, PCB design, and firmware development. The candidate must have a B.S. degree in electrical engineering.

 

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

 

This candidate would design hardware systems, design schematics, perform some PCB layout, lead prototype bring-up, and evaluate parts and systems. This candidate would develop firmware for the hardware systems. FPGA design knowledge is a plus. Experience designing consumer/professional audio products is preferred.

 

Good communication skills are required to work as part of a team. Job location is at our headquarters in Cumberland, RI (about an hour from Boston, MA).
